GUIDELINES/REQUIREMENTS FOR PHARMACY TECHNICIANS
Effective January 30, 1999, all pharmacy technicians within the state of Minnesota must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy. In addition, pharmacy technicians are required to be at least 16 years of age, and be knowledgeable of the pharmacy practice laws/rules regarding duties that they can and cannot perform. These guidelines are intended to assist you in becoming knowledgeable about Minnesota Pharmacy Practice Laws/Rules which apply to you. They are not intended to be all inclusive.
